Hard surface flooring–such as tile, vinyl, terrazzo, wood or concrete–must be maintained. Our franchisees continually train on new and effective trends in floor maintenance, including:
Refinishing – stripping, cleaning, and rinsing of the floor surface before new coats of finish protect the floor and improve appearance.
Scrubbing and Recoating — Periodic maintenance by removing the top layer of floor finish, thoroughly cleaning the floor, and reapplying finish. This extends the life of the finish, saving money by reducing the frequency of more costly refinishing jobs.
Spray Buffing or High Speed Burnishing – Restores shine to keep floors looking their best. Depending on the requirements of the facility, this may be performed quarterly (low traffic areas), monthly (office lobbies and hallways), or more frequently (hospitals, supermarkets, and retail environments).
Many companies ignore floor care for years, believing that they can save money. And they can—but only in the short run. That little bit of scratching and dulling—and build-up of dirt along the edges—may not be noticed at first. But long-term, the costs are staggering:
Higher risk of injury — falls are one of the most common causes of workplace injuries!
